In February, students were invited to participate in "Blind Date with a Book." Books were wrapped in paper with identifying descriptions of their themes and subjects. Students selected their interest and filled out a "Rate Your Date" comment card following the book. Participating students were entered into a drawing for prizes to kick off Reading Month this March. Our first "Blind Date with a Book" winners were Alyssa Hoyles, Ruthie Rarick, and Violet Hoyles. Thank you to everyone who participated in this event. Stay tuned for the library's March Madness bracket coming soon!

Sewing Club Student Members!!! The task is to create and sew a pouch for the office's ice packs. The prototype pouch must be easy & quick to make and utilize a velcro closure. The frozen ice packs must fit, requiring a little extra room but no oversizing. The pouches must be washable. Ideas for materials would be: terry cloth (like towel material), flannel or brushed flannel, nylon, or polyester. The velcro must fit the pouch without being too large or too small, and must be sewn on. I have a frozen ice pack handy for measurement purposes. The prize for the pouch is a $25 gift card to Hobby Lobby or Walmart (winner's choice). The deadline is March 26th! The winner gets their picture in the paper and school newsletter!
