🎃👻 What a spooktacular day at Drayton Public School! 👻🎃 We kicked off the morning with a costume parade, followed by an exciting send-off for our Bomber football team as they head to the 6-Man State Championship! 🏈💣 Our K–6 students spent the afternoon rotating through classrooms for Halloween games, activities, and prizes—a huge thank you to all of our amazing elementary teachers and principal for planning such fun and memorable experiences for our students! 🍬🕸️ Best of luck to the DVE Lady Titans as they compete in the District 3 championship Monday night, and to our Bombers as they take the field this afternoon ! 💥 🎃 We hope you all had a happy, safe, and fun Halloween! 🎃 #WeAreDrayton #BomberPride #TitanStrong

Elementary winners are Reina Welsh (2nd) and Karsyn Carpenter (3rd).
High School winners are Spencer Guilford and Serenity Wylie (8th).

🎒 Supporting Our Students—Together ❤️ At Drayton Public School, we know that students learn best when their basic needs are met. We want to remind our families that all students are eligible to participate in the Backpack Program, which provides nutritious food to help support food security over the weekends. In addition, the Loan Program is available to ensure every child has access to clothing and school supplies they may need throughout the year. These resources are open to every family privately—because we believe every student deserves to feel confident, cared for, and ready to learn. 🖤🎨 Creativity Meets the Halloween Spirit! 🎃 Mrs. Sugden's 6th grade students explored their artistic talents by creating oil pastel Halloween silhouettes. This hands-on art project encouraged students to experiment with blending, shading, and contrast while expressing their seasonal creativity. 🕸️🕯️ Projects like this allow our students to develop both artistic skills and confidence as they bring their imaginations to life in the classroom. We’re proud of their focus, effort, and the vibrant results of their hard work! ✨

🎃 Collaborative Learning in Action! 🎨 Mrs Dahl's 4th grade and Ms. Stevens' 1st grade students partnered up today for a fun and engaging pumpkin painting activity. Together, they practiced teamwork, creativity, and communication while enjoying a festive fall tradition. 🍂🧡 Activities like this highlight the value of our cross-grade collaboration, where older students serve as mentors and role models, and younger students gain confidence through shared learning experiences. 🌟

We survived Day 3 of our National FFA Convention trip! 🌽🚜💙

It’s been an adventure so far! On Monday, we made a splash at the Wisconsin Dells water park. Tuesday took us to Indiana, where we toured a robotic dairy farm and saw some amazing technology in action.

Today (Wednesday) marked our first official day at convention! Students learned about a wide variety of agricultural commodities, met our inspiring National FFA Officers, and even got to visit the famous Indy 500 track — complete with kissing the bricks! 🧱🏁

What an unforgettable start to our trip — can’t wait to see what the rest of the week holds! 💪🌾

🎃 Mrs. Schumacher's Kindergarteners have some precious ideas about what she should be for Halloween! 👻 Enjoy this annual treat from Kindergarten!

The Foods I & II Class and the ASP Cooking Class are looking for donations of apples to use in their cooking projects. The kids will be cooking, baking, and canning the apples. The goal is to make and sell canned apple pie filling to raise money for a portable dishwasher and an installation/adaptor kit to help with the mountain of dishes some days produce. Thank you from Mrs. Quimby and the FCS room.

🍎 CRUNCH OFF SUCCESS! 🍎 Today our entire Drayton School—students, staff, and special guest—joined together for the Mountain Plains Crunch Off and National Apple Day to celebrate healthy eating and local agriculture! With a big CRUNCH, everyone bit into their apples at the same time! 🍏 A special thank you to our guest speaker, tree expert and Bomber Legend, Bob Merrill, and to our school nurse for sharing about the importance of eating fresh, healthy foods. A big Bomber thanks to Robbie & Karmin Corrick for the donation of their home-grown apples! In celebration of Farm to School Month, states throughout the Mountain Plains Region (CO, MT, MO, KS, NE, ND, SD) are competing to see which state can get the most “crunches” into locally grown produce.
