🏈The Drayton Bombers are heading to the 6-man football State Championship this Saturday in Minot! 🎉 The Bombers PTO is sponsoring a fan bus, originally for grades 7-12 only, but now it’s OPEN to any community members 18+ or students with an adult guardian accompanying! 🙌 All bus riders must sign up and fill out a liability waiver at the school office. The office will be open from 8:00-3:00 tomorrow, Friday 10/18. No substances that are illegal to persons under 21 are allowed on the bus.  Bus departs DPS at 10:30am Saturday. 🚌 Don't miss out on this chance to cheer on our Bombers! 📣 Today marks the FINAL week of our cookie dough and more fundraiser for DPS Elementary/Bombers PTO! 🍪 The money raised will be used to purchase things like equipment, furniture, books, and field trips for classes, so we encourage you to join in on supporting us! 🍏 Exciting Day for Our PreK and Kindergarten Students! 🍏 On Wednesday, our little explorers went on an adventure to pick fresh apples in the morning! They had a blast collecting their favorite fruits and enjoying the beautiful fall weather. They even took a break to play “Who stole the apple from the apple tree?” In the afternoon, the fun continued as they transformed their apples into delicious applesauce! Thank you Mrs. Vold & Mrs. Schumacher for creating this wonderful outdoor learning experience!

Mr. Riddle's Ag students, Peyton and Nulla did a soil/art lesson with Ms. Ososki's 6th grade and Mrs. Finley's 3rd grade! 🎨

🌽 This week Mrs. Severtson's 1st grade and Miss Meyer's 2nd grade classes took a field trip to the Grafton Corn Maze! 🎃 So much fun was had by all! 🥳

✏️ Mr. Riddle’s 9th graders came to teach our littlest learners about soil today! They ended the lesson by making their own edible soil layers treat!

🧼 Today we are celebrating national custodian appreciation day! We are extra thankful for our very own Kyle, Keith, Sharon, & Richard! 🧹 Thank you for all that you do for DPS! 🥳

🍕 The Rhombus Guys pizza and more prom fundraiser goods will arrive tomorrow Wednesday, October 2 at approximately 2pm. If your student sold, please make arrangements to maintain the cold chain. Thank you to all who purchased and supported our students; you will be receiving your items very soon! 🎉

Reminder: Students in grades 7-12 are allowed a maximum of 10 absences per semester. The 11th absence may be subject to the loss of credit for that class. Upon the 11th absence the following steps may be taken: 1. Parents will be notified by the principal that the student will lose credit in teh class(es) where the absence limit has been exceeded. 2. If the student or parent(s) feel that the absences were unavoidable, they may file a written request to present their information to the principal, the student will remain eligible for credit pending the decision of the appeal panel. 3. Appeal of the loss of credit will be considered only based on medical records, emergencies, or other unusual circumstance. Loss of credit due to truancy is not a valid basis for appeal. 4. The decision of the Appeal Panel may be appealed to the Superintendent within 10 days of the panel's decision. An appeal must be filed with the Superintendent no later that 10 days after the semester ends.

The Seal!ND dental hygienist will be at our school tomorrow, October 1, 2024, for treatment. The only students who will receive treatment are the ones who have a "yes" consent on file. If you have any questions, please call the school office. 🪥🦷
