🌱🐾 Mrs. Sugden’s 6th grade class had a great day at the Pembina County Eco-Ed Event today! Our students got to get outside, explore, learn about the environment, and experience hands-on activities with our community. 🌎🔎 We’re so thankful for opportunities like this that make learning come alive outside of the classroom! 💚

There’s something special about getting our youngest students involved in athletics early! These opportunities are about so much more than a game—they’re about building school spirit, creating connections between our youngest students and our athletes, and giving kids the chance to see themselves as an important part of the Bomber and Titan communities. We love seeing our athletes become role models and our younger students become excited about being part of something bigger. ❤️🖤 Check out the flyers below for two fun opportunities to get our youngest Bombers and Titans involved this fall! 🏈🏐 We can’t wait to see them on the field and court!

That’s a wrap on two fun-filled weeks with the Prairie Public Learning Express! ❤️📚🧪🎨 Our students had so many opportunities to explore, create, build, imagine, problem-solve, and PLAY with the 14 different activity bins aboard the Learning Express! We kicked things off with dramatic play, explored hands-on activities throughout the two weeks, and discovered that the Cardboard Makedo was a HUGE hit! And, of course, since the Learning Express joined us during Homecoming Week, we had to make sure Elmo and Grover were ready to cheer on the Bombers! ❤️🖤 Thank you, Prairie Public, for bringing this amazing resource right to DPS.

🎨🖍️ Homecoming Week Coloring Contest! 🖍️🎨 Our elementary students kicked off Homecoming Week on Monday with a coloring contest in celebration of National Coloring Day! ❤️🖤 Congratulations to our winners from each grade! 🏆 We are so proud of all of our creative artists who entered the contest. There were so many colorful and creative entries! The fall visit from the Seal!ND dental hygienist will be Wednesday, September 23, 2026. The only students who will receive treatment are the ones who have a "yes" consent on file. The hygienist will visit one more time in the spring with the date TBD. If you have any questions, please call the school office. 🪥🦷

💪On Friday mornings, we scrimmage! 🏀 Coach Sugden's 4-6 grade girls basketball team put in gym time this morning! They were joined by some of our hardworking 7th grade girls who volunteered to show up early to play! Way to go, girls!

Bomber 4-H is looking for new members 5-18 years old. Come kick off the new year with us! Thursday 9/10 at 7:00 in Schumacher Park. Learn about 4-H, hear a fair recap, have some snacks, and do a project! 🍀

The PBS KIDS Learning Express has arrived at DPS! Our youngest learners kicked off the fun today with some dramatic play. 🦸👷🏼‍♂️👨‍🍳👩🏼‍🚒 This is just the beginning—there will be lots more exploring, creating, playing, and learning with the Learning Express over the next two weeks. 🌊🔬 Mrs. Sugden’s 6th graders are teaming up with Mr. Riddle’s class to bring River Watch in collaboration with the International Water Institute to Drayton Public School! Students will collect and test water samples on the Red River and surrounding lakes during the school year to monitor changes in our local waterways. Today, Mr. Riddle introduced the tools and shared why water quality matters! 💧

👀 Pembina County Public Health will be at our school on September 17, 2026 conducting vision screenings for all students in grades PreK, Kindergarten, 1, 3, 5, and 7. If you have any questions or do not want your child screened, contact the school before our vision screening date. If your child does not pass the screening, a referral letter will be sent home.

Seal!ND is a service offered to all DPS students in grades pre-K through 12. This service is available through the North Dakota Department of Health and Human Services. Seal!ND offers free oral health screenings, sealant application, and fluoride varnish application for students whose parents complete and return the consent form. Forms are being sent home today and must be returned by Friday, September 11, 2026. If your student is not participating in this program, please check "no" on the consent form or simply do not return the form to school.🦷 🪥

❤️🖤Drayton Public School Spirit Week begins September 14! 🖤❤️ 🌹 Coronation begins at 2:30pm on Monday. Doors open to the public at 2pm. Livestream link will be posted at a later date. 🏐 Our Lady Titans will be playing at home vs. Hatton-Northwood in Drayton on Tuesday! The Bombers PTO is covering admission for all Drayton students! Bring the family to come and support our volleyball team! 🌎 Bombers Legend, Mr. Murph Thompson, will be inducted into into the Mayville State University Hall of Fame that weekend! We will be celebrating this accomplishment by recognizing him on Tuesday's "Mr. Thompson Day"! Some outfit inspiration may include wearing a tie, the Pittsburgh Steelers, all things track and football, and teaching kids about music & history! Details to come on powderpuff football and volleyball games! 🏈 🏐 Drayton Bombers Football takes on Mandaree on Saturday! 👑 Homecoming royalty will be presented at halftime. The Bombers PTO will be covering admission for all Drayton students! We can't wait to see you there! 👏
