💪On Friday mornings, we scrimmage! 🏀 Coach Sugden's 4-6 grade girls basketball team put in gym time this morning! They were joined by some of our hardworking 7th grade girls who volunteered to show up early to play! Way to go, girls!

The PBS KIDS Learning Express has arrived at DPS! Our youngest learners kicked off the fun today with some dramatic play. 🦸👷🏼‍♂️👨‍🍳👩🏼‍🚒 This is just the beginning—there will be lots more exploring, creating, playing, and learning with the Learning Express over the next two weeks. 🌊🔬 Mrs. Sugden’s 6th graders are teaming up with Mr. Riddle’s class to bring River Watch in collaboration with the International Water Institute to Drayton Public School! Students will collect and test water samples on the Red River and surrounding lakes during the school year to monitor changes in our local waterways. Today, Mr. Riddle introduced the tools and shared why water quality matters! 💧

👀 Pembina County Public Health will be at our school on September 17, 2026 conducting vision screenings for all students in grades PreK, Kindergarten, 1, 3, 5, and 7. If you have any questions or do not want your child screened, contact the school before our vision screening date. If your child does not pass the screening, a referral letter will be sent home.

Seal!ND is a service offered to all DPS students in grades pre-K through 12. This service is available through the North Dakota Department of Health and Human Services. Seal!ND offers free oral health screenings, sealant application, and fluoride varnish application for students whose parents complete and return the consent form. Forms are being sent home today and must be returned by Friday, September 11, 2026. If your student is not participating in this program, please check "no" on the consent form or simply do not return the form to school.🦷 🪥

❤️🖤Drayton Public School Spirit Week begins September 14! 🖤❤️ 🌹 Coronation begins at 2:30pm on Monday. Doors open to the public at 2pm. Livestream link will be posted at a later date. 🏐 Our Lady Titans will be playing at home vs. Hatton-Northwood in Drayton on Tuesday! The Bombers PTO is covering admission for all Drayton students! Bring the family to come and support our volleyball team! 🌎 Bombers Legend, Mr. Murph Thompson, will be inducted into into the Mayville State University Hall of Fame that weekend! We will be celebrating this accomplishment by recognizing him on Tuesday's "Mr. Thompson Day"! Some outfit inspiration may include wearing a tie, the Pittsburgh Steelers, all things track and football, and teaching kids about music & history! Details to come on powderpuff football and volleyball games! 🏈 🏐 Drayton Bombers Football takes on Mandaree on Saturday! 👑 Homecoming royalty will be presented at halftime. Thank you to everyone for joining us for Back to School Night! As we look forward to the first day of school on Thursday, here is the bus route map. For the first week or so, you should be at your bus stop at 7:45 (unless you've heard differently from your bus driver). Students will be picked up between 7:45-8:00. As we work through the routes with drivers driving new routes and a new driver, we appreciate your patience. The pickup and drop-off times will be tightened up over the next couple of weeks, and your driver will be able to give you more exact times.

Attention DPS Bus Riders and Families! We are finalizing the bus routes and schedules for our first day of school next Thursday! Woohoo! We will be running two out-of-town bus routes and a couple loops of in-town bus routes. Instead of picking up at individual houses in town, you will be assigned a bus stop. This will help decrease our riders' time on the bus. Your driver will be in touch shortly with your pick up times. We can't wait to see you next week!

DPS registration for the 2026-2027 school year will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, from 11 am to 8 pm, in the main office. We need ALL parents/guardians to attend registration, as well as all students in grades 7-12. If you are new to the district, please bring immunization records and birth certificates. We will be verifying contact information and helping guardians get set up in Infinite Campus, the replacement for PowerSchool. See you there!
