World Classrooms has offered our students an opportunity to take a trip to Washington, DC in the summer of 2024. Packet info was handed out to students in grades 6, 7, and 8. Please look over this information and if you should have any questions please contact World Classrooms or Sharon Grundstrom. I (Sharon) went on this trip this past summer and it is an experience of a lifetime!!

C.A.S.H. day 2022 was a huge success! The staff and students at DPS donated almost $500 today in Steve Aasand's memory. R.I.P. Beaver, your legacy will live on forever!!

What is C.A.S.H. day? Casual Attire in Honor of Steve FIRST C.A.S.H. DAY IS THIS THURSDAY FOR HOMECOMING!! After this week, it is every Friday when we have school. On Friday of every week, our staff and students will have the opportunity to dress casually in memory of Steve “Beaver” Aasand. Beaver, as you know, loved his basketball shorts and t-shirts supporting his favorite teams (Bombers, Gophers, Twins, Vikings, Cornhuskers, and NDSU). Listed below are the dates you can bring a dollar or more, dress like “Beaver”, wear a hat, and bring a drink with a lid into the classroom. Two Student Council reps will come around to collect. You will get a sticker each week that says, “I gave cash to C.A.S.H.!!” Steve had such a positive influence on all of us, and each year the money collected throughout the school year will be given out as a scholarship during graduation to a senior that his family will pick. His sister-in-law, Jess Aasand, just happens to be on the school board and would love to give this scholarship away every year.
