Hi Jeremy,
I visited with Robin on the phone today to get this all cleaned up. I also visited with Rachel regarding the CSI grant. Would you have time tomorrow or Friday to zoom or visit on these issues? If so, let me know and I will set time aside. Thursday I am busy 9:30am-11am for sure, but probably could make most other times work either day.
In the meantime, please do not submit any further items for these 2 grants.

In the meantime, the Title I items are holding all grants in hold status so if those items could be continued and submitted it would greatly help these. The one of most importance is the CSI grant that closes out next week with no exceptions……There is a chance that the Title I items could affect this getting done in time, but Rachel couldn’t say for sure.

Thanks everyone😊!

Hi Jeremy,

I know you need to submit a claim, however you still need to submit an amendment to reflect the grant changes we discussed first. I have attached the latest version you sent me. Those items highlighted in green have alignment and those in yellow need to be removed. It was noted that the plan does not mention grade levels but feels geared towards middle- high school. I would recommend that your grant team meets and reviews the amended plan and determine if there are any additional needs in the attached areas. Use of Funds

* MTSS Training and Implementation-allowable
* Dean of Students- salary and benefits- allowable
* School Nurse- Federal Title Funds cannot pay her full salary. Federal Funds can only cover the time that she is providing indirect services. Medical services are listed as prohibited use of funds in ESEA section 4001(b). I have provided the link for the guidance that you should go over with your nurse so you can determine what portion of her salary to add to the budget. Use of Federal Title Funds for School Nurse/eNurse
* Move Steve Dunn training to CSI (see below)
In discussion with my federal contacts, I reviewed the implementation of STEVE DUNN for alignment with the purpose and intent of the funds. I shared our discussion on Steve Dunn and how the writing does help the students develop skills in the social emotional area. They noted it is a stretch and that the data measured is not measuring SEL. I loved what you described and believe the implementation of the program with fidelity would benefit your students.
In effort to maintain the activity for Drayton, I took the strategy to braid and blend your funds. I reached out to your CSI Program Director at the Department, Rachel Tabler, and she thought that the Steve Dunn program is a good fit for your CSI funds. She shared you have 2 years of funds that you have not used at this point in time.

* Remove- I can’t approve it to “Redo Website”. That type of work falls under the day-to-day operations of a school and is the responsibility of the district.
You can leave funds in unobligated, or we can discuss you turning back funds if desired.

Call if you have any questions!
Robin

Thank you!

Just FYI- Most schools use 75% for indirect services and 25% for direct services. That means the grant could cover 75% of salary and benefits with the district covering the rest.
