Drayton Public School is currently seeking enthusiastic individuals for the following positions:
Paraprofessional -
Key Responsibilities:
Assist special education teachers in providing services for students on an IEP. This includes going into classrooms and working with students as well as working with students in the special education room. We are looking for individuals that enjoy working with young people and helping them succeed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalency and successful completion of WorkKeys test (District will provide) or minimum of two years of college.
Additional 20 hours of training in Special Ed within the school calendar year. Online training modules are supplied by DPS through Upper Valley Special Education Unit and certificate will be applied for from the state when completed.
Compensation starts at $15 per hour or more based on experience + FLEX spending plan, option for participating in group dental and vision policies, sick leave and retirement.
Substitute Bus Driver -
Key Responsibilities:
Operate a school bus on assigned routes in accordance with state and district regulations.
Maintain a safe and orderly environment on the bus.
Conduct a pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
Report any mechanical issues or safety concerns promptly.
Follow established schedules and adjust to delays or changes as needed.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff.
Maintain accurate records as required by the district.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Valid Commerical Driver's License (CDL) with School Bus (S) and Passenger (P) endorsements.
Clean driving record and ability to pass a background check.
Ability to pass a physical exam and drug screening.
Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to student safety.
Prior experience driving a school bus preferred but not required - training available.
